BANK OF HAWAII GIVES $10,000 GRANT TO
AMERICAN SAMOA COMMUNITY COLLEGE

 Through it's Charitable Foundation Chamber member Bank of Hawaii recently gave a grant of $10,000 to the American Samoa Community College's Small Business Development Center (AS-SBDC) to enable it to make their facilities wheelchair accessible thereby allowing the AS--SBDC to participate in a proposed project in collaboration with the Department of Social Services who have received Federal funding to to assist the handicapped and underprivileged to start up their own businesses. A previous grant award from BOH gave the Center a chance to make the building accessible to clients in wheelchairs but a second phase of the work is necessary before these individuals have full access to the AS-SBDC headquarters.

The BOH Charitable Foundation provides contributions to non-profit organizations with an emphasis on education, health care, community development, human services, culture and the arts.
